About - Rebecca Morrison

Hello

I'm Rebecca, an artist specialising in watercolour and sketch drawing.

I have a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree and I have always loved being creative especially through painting and sketching.

I was born and raised in Co.Down Northern Ireland, in a small coastal town surrounded by the beautiful Strangford Lough shores. I still live there with my family and my cats, Poppy and Tigger. I use a small space in my house to create my art and update my website.

I have attended 2 Mini Con events and 1 Comic Con event at the end of 2024 and hope to increase my attendance at more events and markets in 2025.

My inspiration comes from a lot of sources, movies, people, animals and landscapes in Northern Ireland that have something special about them.

Sketching is the main foundation of most of my art, it’s how I plan the composition of my work and how my ideas begin to come together. I start my process by deciding the size, shape and colours of my subject, be it landscape, portraits or animals then I use some quick sketches as the base layer to build upon my main piece of work.
